In the frameworks of the regenerative farming support program we converted the almond monoculture of Christos Kontomanos from cob.gr into a complex agroforestry system with market garden activity.
With the fast drop of the existing water table, one of the focus of this intervention was on increasing soil organic matter to reduce water needs, achieved through biodiversity and support species integration, compost tea, effective micro-organisms, and other fertility-boosting amendments.
Farmers in our local networks tell us about their challenges, and we select videos produced by our international partners and translate the content into Greek. Our team is working on producing original videos to cover any remaining identified needs.
