In the framework of the regenerative farming support program, we converted the almond monoculture of Christos Kontomanos from cob.gr into a complex agroforestry system with market garden activity.
With the fast drop of the existing water table, one of the focuses of this intervention was on increasing soil organic matter to reduce water needs, achieved through biodiversity and support species integration, compost tea, effective micro-organisms, and other fertility-boosting amendments.
