🌱 Συνάντηση Αγροδασοπονίας και Αναγεννητικής Γεωργίας στην Κοζάνη 🧑🌾
Πώς μπορούν η αναγεννητική γεωργία και η αγροδασοπονία να μας βοηθήσουν να αντιμετωπίσουμε τις πιο σημαντικές προκλήσεις στα αγροκτήματά μας;
Στις 14 Οκτωβρίου, σε μια εκδήλωση που συνδιοργανώνεται στο πλαίσιο του 2ου. Πανελλήνιου Αγροδασικού Συνεδρίου, θα συζητήσουμε για αυτά τα ερωτήματα στο όμορφο Αλθαία Lake View Farm, όπου εφαρμόζονται πρακτικές αναγεννητικής γεωργίας και αγροδασοπονίας. Παράλληλα, θα κάνουμε το πρώτο βήμα για τη δημιουργία του τοπικού Δικτύου Αγροτών στην Κοζάνη!
Η εκδήλωση θα φέρει κοντά αγρότες από την ευρύτερη περιοχή της Κοζάνης που ενδιαφέρονται να μεταβούν σε πιο ανθεκτικά και βιώσιμα μοντέλα γεωργίας, να εξερευνήσουν προσεγγίσεις αγροδασοπονίας και αγροοικολογίας, να μάθουν και να συνδεθούν με άλλους αγρότες. Ο Χρήστος Κοντομάνος από το cob.gr θα υποστηρίξει αυτόν τον διάλογο και θα μοιραστεί τις αρχές σχεδιασμού που εφαρμόζονται στο Αλθαία Lakeview Farm.
Η συνάντηση έχει σχεδιαστεί ως ένας χώρος για ανταλλαγή γνώσης μεταξύ αγροτών και μεταξύ ερευνητών, πρακτικής μάθησης, δικτύωσης και συλλογικού αναστοχασμού. Η ημέρα θα επικεντρωθεί στην ανταλλαγή εμπειριών, στη διερεύνηση πραγματικών προκλήσεων και στον εντοπισμό λύσεων και ευκαιριών που ανταποκρίνονται στις τοπικές συνθήκες.
Τι να περιμένετε
Το απόγευμα θα περιλαμβάνει:
- Γνωριμία με την τοπική αγροτική κοινότητα.
- Ανταλλαγή εμπειριών γύρω από την αγροδασοπονία, συνδέοντας τις πρακτικές, τις γνώσεις και τα ερωτήματα των συμμετεχόντων.
- Ξενάγηση στη φάρμα φιλοξενίας, Althea Lake View Farm.
- Ανταλλαγή πρακτικής γνώσης μεταξύ αγροτών, μέσα από εμπειρίες και καλές πρακτικές.
- Εμβάθυνση στις τοπικές προκλήσεις, δουλεύοντας μαζί για τον εντοπισμό λύσεων και προσεγγίσεων προσαρμοσμένων στις πραγματικές συνθήκες της γεωργίας στην Κοζάνη — κοιτάζοντας μαζί προς το μέλλον.
- Σύνδεση του Δικτύου Αγροτών της Κοζάνης, με την ευκαιρία να παραμείνουμε σε επαφή και να συνεχίσουμε την ανταλλαγή γνώσεων και ευκαιριών και μετά τη συνάντηση.
Η ημέρα θα παρουσιάσει επίσης δύο έργα που σχετίζονται με την ανάπτυξη της αγροδασοπονίας και την ενίσχυση ανθεκτικών αγροτικών τοπίων στην Ελλάδα: MAPPING και FIREFLIES.
Μέσα από το MAPPING, διερευνούμε πώς οι πρωτοβουλίες αγροδασοπονίας και οι αγρότες μπορούν να γίνουν μέρος μιας ευρύτερης μεσογειακής κοινότητας και ενός δικτύου ανταλλαγής γνώσης. Το έργο στοχεύει στον εντοπισμό και στη σύνδεση πρωτοβουλιών αγροδασοπονίας στις χώρες-εταίρους και στην ευκολότερη πρόσβαση σε πρακτική γνώση μέσω ενός ειδικού διαδικτυακού χάρτη και άλλων εκπαιδευτικών πόρων.
Το FIREFLIES επικεντρώνεται στην αποκατάσταση της βιοποικιλότητας και στην ενίσχυση της ανθεκτικότητας των οικοσυστημάτων στα ευρωπαϊκά αγροτικά τοπία. Σε συνεργασία με αγρότες και άλλους τοπικούς φορείς, το έργο υποστηρίζει και διαδίδει πρακτικές αποκατάστασης που μπορούν να ενισχύσουν τη βιοποικιλότητα, παραμένοντας παράλληλα βιώσιμες μέσα στα πραγματικά αγροτικά συστήματα -συμπεριλαμβανομένων προσεγγίσεων που σχετίζονται με την υγεία του εδάφους, τη διαχείριση του νερού, την επικονίαση, τον έλεγχο των επιβλαβών οργανισμών, τα χαρακτηριστικά του αγροτικού τοπίου και την ανθεκτικότητα των αγροκτημάτων.
Σε ποιους απευθύνεται η εκδήλωση
Η εκδήλωση απευθύνεται σε αγρότες της περιοχής της Κοζάνης που ενδιαφέρονται ή ήδη εφαρμόζουν πρακτικές αγροδασοπονίας και αναγεννητικής γεωργίας, καθώς και σε άλλους ενδιαφερόμενους, όπως γεωπόνους, ερευνητές, φορείς σχεδιασμού πολιτικής και άλλους συμμετέχοντες του Πανελλήνιου Αγροδασικού Συνεδρίου .

🌱 Agroforestry and Regenerative Agriculture Gathering in Kozani 🧑🌾
How can regenerative agriculture and agroforestry help us combat the most crucial challenges in our farms?
On 14 October, in an event co-organised by the 2nd Panhellenic Agroforestry Conference, we will dive into these questions in the beautiful Althea Lake View Farm, which does practice regenerative farming and agroforestry. At the same time, we will kick-start the local farmer Network in Kozani!
The event will bring together farmers from across the Kozani region who aim to transition their farming operation, exploring agroforestry and agroecological approaches, and are interested in learning more and connecting with others. Christos Kontomanos from cob.gr will support the knowledge exchange and share the design principles that guided the agroforestry of Althea Lakeview farm.
The gathering is designed as a space for farmer-to-farmer and researcher-to-farmer exchange, practical learning, networking and collective reflection. The day will focus on sharing experiences, exploring real challenges and identifying solutions and opportunities that make sense in the local context.
What to expect
The afternoon will include:
- Getting to know the local farming community
- Sharing agroforestry experiences, connecting participants’ own practices, knowledge and questions.
- A tour of the hosting farm at Althea Lake View Farm.
- Farmer-to-farmer learning of practical experience and best practices.
- A deep dive into local challenges, working together to identify solutions and approaches adapted to the realities of farming in Kozani – looking ahead together.
- Connecting the Kozani farmers’ network, an opportunity to stay connected and continue exchanging knowledge and opportunities beyond this gathering.
The day will also introduce two projects that are relevant to the development of agroforestry and resilient agricultural landscapes in Greece: MAPPING and FIREFLIES.
Through MAPPING, we explore how agroforestry initiatives and farmers can become part of a wider Mediterranean community and knowledge network. The project is working to identify and connect agroforestry initiatives across partner countries and make practical knowledge more accessible through a dedicated web map and other educational resources.
FIREFLIES focuses on biodiversity restoration and ecosystem resilience in European agricultural landscapes. Working directly with farmers and other local stakeholders, the project supports and disseminates restoration practices that can support biodiversity while remaining viable within real farming systems — including approaches related to soil health, water management, pollination, pest control, landscape features and farm resilience.

This event welcomes farmers of the Kozani region, who are interested or practicing agroforestry and regenerative agriculture, and other stakeholders such as agronomists, researchers, policy makers and other attendees of the Hellenic Agroforestry Conference.

🌱 A day of agroforestry, shared knowledge & building connections in Kozani 🌾
More than 25 people, from local farmers to agronomers and researchers attending the 2nd Panhellenic Agroforestry Conference by the Greek Agroforestry Network, came together at Althea Lakeview Farm to witness and discuss how agroforestry and regenerative agriculture can help build more resilient farms and landscapes. 🌳
We toured the farm with Christos Kontomanos from cob.gr, who designed its agroforestry system, exchanged experiences and ideas, and shared a delicious picnic of the farm’s own produce. 🥗
And as the sun set over the lake, we continued the conversations, building on the connections that set the building blocks for launching an official local farming community – the Kozani Local Network. 🌅🤝
